This beautiful set of three antique Jacobean style nesting tables is a rare gem that perfectly preserves the unique character of genuine antique furniture and the exceptional craftsmanship of traditional British furniture artisans.
The tabletop is made of carefully selected oak, and its beautiful plank grain will deepen in flavor over time. The patina (patina) that has naturally developed over many years of use creates a deep luster and color that is impossible to reproduce in modern times, exuding the dignified presence that only true antique furniture can have.
Its greatest feature is the barley sugar twist (spiral decoration) that runs along the entire length of the legs. The spiral pattern, carved out by skilled 17th century artisans using the turning technique, leaves traces of subtle handwork that cannot be replicated by modern machines, and produces beautiful shadows that change appearance depending on the angle from which it is viewed. This decorative technique was highly prized as the pinnacle of British furniture technology at the time.
