Founded in Higashiyama, Kyoto, in the early Taisho period, the Gyokuo Kiln lineage has dedicated itself to creating tea ceremony ceramics, preserving and creating traditional techniques. The current generation has been certified as a traditional craftsman, has won numerous awards at exhibitions, and has been awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Rosette in recognition of their achievements. The soft greenish glaze envelops the entire bowl, and the delicate pattern that emerges on the surface creates a unique charm.
