These neat and beautiful Gabbeh rugs are finished using traditional hand-woven techniques by skilled craftsmen from the Shiraz region in southwestern Iran, a famous region for producing Persian rugs. It has a compact size of 580mm x 420mm, and features a sophisticated design that conveys the nomadic view of nature and aesthetic sense to the present day, with a natural white background color that is almost pure white, and regularly arranged motifs of deer and flowers.

As you can see from the detailed weave image on the back, this gabbeh is extremely densely woven, with a significant number of precisely tied knots per square centimeter. This outstanding weaving technique clearly expresses the delicate deer silhouettes and floral details on the surface, and provides excellent durability that can withstand long-term use.

The center part is woven with animal and plant motifs in an orderly arrangement. There are two elegant deer in deep wine red (reddish-brown) on the top row, three small deer in warm orange and deep green in the middle row, and three more deer on the bottom row, creating a dynamic composition that looks like a total of eight deer running across a white meadow.

Between the deer on each tier, there are two floral motifs painted in pinkish red and deep green, expressing the nomads' deep love for the precious flowers that bloom in the harsh natural environment and their praise for the power of life. These flowers symbolize the wildflowers that bloom in desert oases and the highland flowers that bloom en masse during the short spring blooming season.

The deer motif is modeled after the wild deer that inhabit the Iranian highlands, and is a symbol of freedom and elegance for nomads. Each deer is woven with a slightly different posture and expression, and the warm expression that can only be achieved by hand-weaving is attractive. The majesty of a buck with its antlers and the beauty of its supple body are skillfully expressed.

Due to the high quality weaving, some fuzz may occur at the initial stage, but it will settle down naturally with use.

If heavy furniture is left in the same place for a long time, it may leave pressure marks, so we recommend regular positioning.
