This blue and white porcelain flower vase from the Rosenthal Studio line was designed by Danish artist Björn Wimblad (1918-2006). Wimblad served as Rosenthal's chief designer for nearly 50 years, from 1957 onwards, and was a rare figure who maintained his own unique, delicate and romantic style in an era dominated by functionalism. The surface of this vase features his trademark round-faced figures, harmoniously depicted with flowers and arabesque patterns, reminiscent of a picture scroll.
