Product description/features
This is a plate from Wedgwood's "Romantic England" series manufactured in the late 1990s. This series is currently out of print and has become a rare and valuable collector's item.
The biggest attraction is the beautiful blue decals depicting the English countryside. In the center is a village scene, with detailed depictions of half-timbered buildings, people on horseback, and peaceful countryside. The rim is richly decorated with grapes and flowers, and the gradation of shades of blue creates depth and three-dimensionality.
The back side is engraved with "WEDGWOOD Queen's Ware", confirming that it is Wedgwood's traditional Queen's wear. It is also highly practical as it is microwave and dishwasher safe. A masterpiece representative of British ceramics that gives you a sense of British history and tradition.
